Are you an experienced software architect with a passion for e-commerce? Invia Group is looking for a talented sStaff Software Engineer Architect (m/f/d) to lead our technological innovation. In this role, you’ll lead product development, create scalable solutions and refine our enterprise architecture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor up-and-coming talent and ensure our technology meets business objectives. Your tasks

  • Technical Leadership & Expertise: Serve as the primary technology and subject matter expert across all major teams in Invia Group, guiding the strategic direction of our technological developments.
  • Product Development Lifecycle: Support the entire product development cycle, from identifying customer needs to designing and implementing solutions that meet these requirements.
  • Solution Design: Lead the creation, presentation, and demonstration of technical solutions to senior management and engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Makes sure that the most suitable technologies to solve business problems are selected.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor our solutions’ performance, ensuring our SLOs (service level objectives) are met. Assist in designing dashboards to monitor SLIs (service level indicators) and help design quarterly goals to improve them.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Design and refine the enterprise architecture to streamline operations, reduce redundancy, and minimize latency, errors, and exceptions. Create long-term strategic plans to minimize the amount of solutions used, thus maximizing efficiency. Validate technology proposals of teams. Weigh risks and tradeoffs.
  • Collaboration & Education: Act as a central point of contact for product and engineering teams, facilitating integration and API discussions to extend our supply solutions and improve partner integrations. Leads the architecture board, ensuring the increase of technical talent density. For cross-team projects, ensures that everyone has a solid understanding of the target solution.
  • Documentation & Influence: Assist in creating key documentation (PRDs, RFCs, ADRs, C4, ERD, Sequence Diagrams). Act as a coordinator, ensuring documentation is consistent across teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage and support customer and partner communications, detailing the implementation, performance, and analytics capabilities of our platform.
  • Travel: Occasionally travel to meet with stakeholders, participate in integration workshops, and foster strong relationships with senior management, product, and engineering teams.

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in software development, including architectural design and implementation of complex backend systems.
  • Ideally multiple years of experience in programming Go
  • Deep understanding of software architecture principles and extensive experience in architecting scalable, high-performance systems.
  • Proven experience in establishing and defining architectural standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
  • Excellent skills in conducting architectural reviews and providing strategic, constructive feedback.
  • Experience in training and mentoring developers and architects to enhance their technical and architectural skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing complex technical challenges and providing innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, exhibiting strong team player and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, thriving in an agile environment and driving projects from conception to completion.
